I’m the type of person who thinks a lot. I think about the way we, as a society, construct so many things in our daily lives. Society norms can easily be found in musical genres. Specific genres are beautiful and I admire them, because I too on some days solely want to make a “Kendrick Lamar Beat” or “Green Day Riff,” but it’s the genre bending concept album that I aspire to put together. I actually have dozens of unfinished songs that I already have labeled as my next album, but I hope to get back to them when I have more time on my hands so I can perfect them note by note. To me, I know that I feel most creative when I don’t have a specific genre to confide to. The Beatles and Beach Boys concept albums influence me heavily in my passion to create sound art and not always mainstream sound.
