Picking Sounds/Styles for Experimental Music

What I many times enjoy most is the genre of experimental music. I still don’t fully know what this genre even means  for me, but it allows me to do out there manipulation to the effects I had to my instruments. Using the “latch” function in logic allows me to provide wacky automation to my sounds. For instance, I enjoy switching keys and time signatures in the middle of my work to keep the listener always second guessing the experience. This may have been impacted by my love for the Beatles and later Pink Floyd, as they fully dove into the unknown with psychedelic music. I’ve noticed that I also have a very difficult time not adding strong effects to my vocals, since I prefer the sound of very processed sound it turns out. I find my voice bland if I don’t do anything to it, which is why my vocal chain is always the most manipulated, especially in my experimental works.
